Irish Pork Safe: But Must Be Destroyed. Sounds Like Pig Shit.

The Irish Government has pulled all pork slaughtered in Ireland since September. Supermarkets and butchers have been told to remove all products from sale.

Britain imports a lot of pork from Ireland every year however the UK Food Standards Agency has said they do not consider Irish pork to be a great risk and don’t want to start a “scare”. Now I have heard of Bullshit and Horseshit as expressions for this kind of action but this is the first time in my life I have been fed “official Pigshit”.

The scary thing is the lack of responsibility being offered here: Your health is less important than than not starting a scare? If the Irish government say the 80 – 200 x safe levels of Dioxins found in their pork mean it should not be eaten are they really to be disbelieved?

A message to the UK Food Standards Agency: Your behaviour is reminiscent of the Conservative former Agriculture Minister John Gummer – force feeding his child BSE laden hamburgers before the true extent of BSE was understood.

I want to see the head of the UK Food Standards Agency on TV today eating 100 spare ribs from known Irish Pork killed since September.

Associated Press – December 6, 2008 8:53 PM ET DUBLIN, Ireland (AP) – Ireland has issued an international warning for people not to consume Irish-produced pork products because they could contain dangerous levels of contaminants.”

An “International warning” this nation wants to ignore !
