      Meditations on Arrogance part one

Someone I care a great deal about told me the biggest problem they may have to deal with in knowing me is my arrogance. Without looking very deeply I can see already that my arrogance is a pure defensive structure. It comes in to play when I feel vulnerable or threatened. When I knows what I know without question there is no need to be arrogant. When uncertain of my knowledge or place I can employ arrogance to make my position appear stronger than it is, even if I am the only one who is fooled. I doubt this is the whole story.
